Below are some recent Ascent Case Studies of programs that have taken place throughout the United States and Canada.


In the summer of 2019, Ascent Talent arranged 40 female promotional models for an in-store sales and marketing program for Nair at ULTA locations nationwide. The goal of the program was to create awareness for the new Leg Mask product and ultimately increase sales at each Ulta store. Each model received a product kit in the mail before the event began, attended a phone training meeting with Ascent’s client, and independently ran the Leg Mask program at her assigned store. Ascent’s client was very impressed and appreciative that all of the store activations were handled well, in-store sales went up dramatically (many stores sold out), and ULTA store visitors learned about Nair’s new leg mask product in a personal and comfortable way.


Ascent Talent has been assisting with US Navy events for numerous years throughout the country. The US Navy has two mobile programs that visit large-scale events like national air shows and smaller events including high school informational visits. Each trailer required 7-8 Ascent Brand Ambassadors to manage a wide-range of activities including a virtual reality experience, a photo booth experience, a pull-up bar contest, and a dog-tag making station. Ascent has strong relationship with its client and appreciates being able to assist with this important US Navy program in major markets like New York and San Francisco as well as smaller towns including Columbia, SC and Mobile, AL.


Ascent Talent provides a wide range of staff for its clients depending on the event goals and requirements for the project. For Oregon Ice Cream, Ascent provided brand ambassadors at visible events like Expo West and the Fancy Food Show to greet customers, scoop creative ice cream flavors, and communicate important key message points about the Alden’s Organic brand. In 2019, Ascent Talent provided 5 brand ambassadors and 1 mascot for the three-day event. A major focus of the event was emphasizing its Sasquatch Tracks flavor. To go along with the Sasquatch Tracks theme, Ascent arranged for a mascot to be dressed in full Sasquatch costume to interact with event visitors, pose for photos, that ultimately became part of a successful social media initiative created by Oregon Ice Cream. After speaking with the client following both tradeshows, Oregon Ice Cream was very pleased with the way the Ascent team helped make their events run well.


Ascent Talent had the very exciting opportunity to assist with the launch of the Netflix series “Green Eggs and Ham”. At the end of 2019, Ascent was asked to provide a touring Emcee as well as 3-5 outgoing brand ambassadors to assist at ten family-oriented events throughout the country. The fun and interactive footprint featured a visually interesting “hambulance” which was surrounded by a range of exciting family activities. A favorite challenge was “try something new” that led kids to do a silly dance or impersonate specific animals. Families had a great time with the games and also were given tasty green eggs and ham sandwiches from a local caterer. Lastly, kids were able to take their picture with Mr. Jenkins from the show and leave with a souvenir from their fun experience with the new Netflix show.


Beginning in 2017, Ascent began assisting Whisky X with teams of up to 60 people at their ticketed events in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Denver, and Austin. The special event brought a hands-on tasting experience for guests to try brands including Johnnie Walker, Bulleit, and Aberlour. Additionally, the tasting experience took place while a recognizable band played on a large stage above the crowd. Ascent’s staff played a key role in this program arranging skilled labor teams to help set-up the band’s stage and client event tasting booths. Additionally, Brand Ambassador teams helped on the event day with VIP and GA guest check-in, brand tasting support at individual booths during the event, and directional teams to guide guests throughout the event and answer questions. Lastly, a runner team was arranged to quickly take care of any last-minute needs and errands before and during the Whisky X event. Because of the great success of the Whisky X events and close relationship Ascent maintains with its client, Ascent has been fortunate and appreciative to work on Whisky X events for three straight years.


Beginning in 2018, Ascent starting assisting its client with event activations at a wide range of Academy Sports + Outdoors Sporting Goods events throughout the country. Ascent provided 6-8 brand ambassadors per event on college campuses for SEC football games and other visible events with the goal of creating or enhancing the connection between local customers and the Academy brand. Ascent staff to ran different event experiences including fun photo activations and meet-and-greets as well as hand out free gifts that ultimately drive traffic to local Academy Sports stores. The program has proven to be a very successful way to connect with local Academy customers and strengthen Academy’s standing as the leader in sports and outdoor sporting goods products in its region.


Ascent has assisted with the Toyota activation for years, but at the Stagecoach Music Festival in 2019, Ascent was asked to arrange nearly forty brand ambassadors for a variety event experiences at the festival. Within the larger number, Ascent arranged two Team Leads to manage the staff while other brand ambassadors were tasked with a variety of different responsibilities to help make the Toyota activation run well. Those roles included a lead generation team focused on gathering future sales leads for Toyota as well as many other festival engagement areas that created a personal and enjoyable experience for concert-goers. The team maintained a high-level of energy during each event day and made sure people at the Stagecoach Music Festival had a meaningful and memorable experience with the Toyota brand.


Throughout 2019, Ascent Talent arranged event teams for Peet’s that ranged from 6-20 local brand ambassadors throughout the country. The program was primarily focused on introducing the new Peet’s canned espresso drinks to local communities and concert goers throughout the country. Ascent’s teams energetically distributed products at events including the Coachella Music Festival, Bay to Breakers, and numerous San Francisco Giants baseball games. Ascent’s team assisted the tour managers at each event by sampling a variety of flavors while embodying the high-energy, down-to-earth, friendly experience that Peet’s is known for providing its customers. The events ran well and the Ascent team helped the country taste wonderful new products from Peet’s.


In June of 2019, Ascent Talent provided forty high-energy and experienced female brand ambassadors to work a variety of roles at the first Girlboss Conference in Los Angeles. The Girlboss Conference was aimed toward connecting business leaders and enhancing participant’s careers, providing financial guidance, and optimizing personal wellness. Founder & CEO Sophia Amoruso, the author of Girlboss, led the conference and Ascent assisted its client in providing event staff to help with many operational roles. Those roles included check-in staff, greeters, coat check, gift bag distribution, directional assistance help, merchandise station replenishment, box office staff, wristband registration, floating support, and event staff managers. The event was a tremendous success and the Ascent staff played an important role in helping its client make sure the operations of Girlboss ran smoothly for Ascent’s client and event attendees.


For SAMCOM, Anheuser Busch’s annual company tradeshow, Ascent’s client asked Ascent to provide 110+ people to work in a variety of different operational and marketing roles. For the event, Ascent arranged staff to assist with directional and registration needs as well as TABC certified models, barbers, gift shop staff, emcee’s, production assistants, and event runners/floaters to help at the event. Within the larger SAMCOM event, most Anheuser Busch brands have a presence and requires different staff based on the theme of their booth at the event. The brands include Bud Light, Estrella, Elysian, Presidente, Social Club, Summer of Seltzer, Babe, Bon & Viv, Hoegaarden, Kombewcha, Patagonia, Hi-Ball, Rita’s, Teavana, and a number of others. Ascent appreciates being able to help its client at SAMCOM and we look forward to matching the energy and excitement of the event with charismatic and hardworking staff at future SAMCOM shows.


Amazon Prime Student is a Prime membership program created for college students and includes Free Two-Day Shipping on over 50 million items, unlimited streaming of Prime movies and TV shows. Ascent was asked to provide staff for a college tour at a number of college campuses throughout the country to introduce the service and connect featured brands with students. In markets including Valdosta, GA, Nashville, TN, and Durham, NH, Ascent hired 16 event staff with different experience levels to represent various brands for the tour. These brands included Soylent, 3M, Avery, Philips Sonicare, Philips Norelco, Isopure, and Amazon Prime. In addition to booth staff, Ascent arranged a Team Lead to oversee the brand ambassador team, production staff to assist with transporting samples from a storage location to the experiential area, and labor staff to help with building and taking down event elements at the beginning and end of each day. This program showcased Ascent’s ability to hire dynamic staff with various skill sets who fit different event roles and also match the personality of the brands being represented at the event. Ascent was able to help Ascent’s client in larger markets and smaller college towns. The tour ran very well and Ascent is excited to work on this program again.


Chivas Regal Scotch Whisky was a headline sponsor of the long-awaited boxing rematch between GGG vs Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas. This exclusive, high-end event required Ascent to provide 34 models for Chivas to work at numerous locations throughout Las Vegas to interact with VIP guests and event goers. A number of the staff needed to speak Spanish fluently and during the days leading up to the main event, as well as fight night, Ascent’s models wore branded black cocktail dresses and took pictures with thousands of boxing fans, promoted Chivas at various consumer activations, and provided hospitality support at exclusive clubs at parties throughout the city. The client was very happy with the appearance and energy of the team and the program ran very well for Ascent’s client and Chivas. Ascent has the capability of providing experienced models in any city was very help with the team who contributed to a successful GGG vs Canelo Alvarez program.
